I found this gem of a short on Vimeo, but you can watch it on YouTube. All I know about this director is he is a filmmaker from Madrid.
The angles and lighting help to convey a tone of pure anxiety. I had to watch it quite a few times as I was completely astonished by this guy’s work. The acting and story line are excellent as well (and there’s a twist at the end), but what stands out for me is the cinematography.
The name of the short is “God Bless You.”

The only thing I don’t like about it is the title. He should have called it “The Prisoner” or something like that.

Damn! Once again, I am not able to hear videos from YouTube without rebooting the whole computer. I’m going to have to save this for later. Sorry, Kitty.

You have to hear the soundtrack too to get the best experience.

Nice. Great shots throughout. One of my favorites is the pan at around 5 mins in that goes across the small window in the door. Good stuff!

My absolute favorite part is when they stamp his paper and he falls to his knees.

Reminds me of the scene in The Shawshank Redemption, when Brooks finally gets his parole.
My favorite part was the opening credits. I love it when a director begins to set the stage immediately.
Great short. Thanks for sharing . . .

It has a great opening image. That’s what got me to click on this particular video out of thousands out there.
