My dad used to say it more than anyone else, “You live in a dream world.” I used to hate it, that he had me so pegged. But I’ve made pretty good use of it once I accepted it as a good thing. Here is a perfect example of my world.
You see this costume/dress/whatever?
It’s one of the prettiest things I’ve ever seen in terms of color, texture, flow…I want to wear this thing. Where can one get away with wearing something like that if they haven’t done ballet since the age of eight? Where? In my dream world, that’s where. When I lie awake tonight trying to get to sleep, I’m going to imagine myself wearing that stupid wedding cake looking outfit to something special where people dress like that every single day. Kitty’s world. You in?
I’m SO in!
Yay, a top notch dreamer! It’s an honor. Come on in, I’m rolling out the red carpet.
I’m totally in. Though this costume/dress/whatever would look painfully ridiculous on me. But I’m in.
In My World, everyone looks exactly as they wish. And there is no such thing as ridiculous in there either. Just over the top. Tippy-toe on in you Greek goddess, you.
I have one surviving toe shoe. It could work. Damn. It.
Yay, a real prima ballerina to show us all the moves. You can work that toe shoe doing endless pirouettes.
Um. The last time my limbs extended anywhere near that kind of extension it was with the help of an inattentive driver behind the wheel of a rather large and very red Dodge Truck. But hey, I can make cool clumpy noises with the shoe and hop around like a duck.
I like those cool clumpy toe shoe noises that only those shoes make. I have magical glitter, too. Cures all ills. And that song from Chorus Line, “Everything is Beautiful at the Ballet,” it plays when you first come in.
I like them too. Nothing else sounds quite like that. [smile]
Max, we need to go TP AJ’s blog.
LOL — I am up for that.
Wait, you are just trying to distract me so I will stop smarting off on your blog, right?
No, keep it up, the value of my blog keeps going up with each comment.
I dunno. “How much is your blog worth” seems to think my websites are low budget.
Hey, it’s hard to price something that’s not for sale.
I love that dress. I would wear it in a new york minute.
Your Dad, too? Mine always told me that I was “weird” — these days I revel in my “weirdness”!
If it makes you happy, wear that dress anywhere you want, and swing merrily from rafter to rafter if the mood grabs you. Celebrate!
That would look cool, swinging from the rafters in that dress.
mental note: send rafter girls pretty underoos: priority: high
Groovy – Can I have the Wonder Woman underoos???!!!! I could sew some red, white & blue lace on the bum, for added “glamour”…
Red white and blue lace on the bum, what a classy Wonder Woman. Yay!
Okay, you cannot wear Wonder Woman red white and blue underoos with that . It is lavender. Stop that.
Wow, what a beautiful dress.
I am going to see the St Petersburg Ballet on New Years Day do a performance of Sleeping Beauty. I am so excited!!!
Oh, you are so lucky Dancinfairy. And smart too, this ballerina is actually a part of that company. I wonder if this dress is in that production? Have a great time at the show.
I am a guy but I’d wear this thing. Can I come in?
Certainly. Welcome aboard.
I have never seen anything like that dress before…wow. If people in your dream world get to wear that kind of thing every day, I am definitely in.
Yay!
Love that screename. You will be the life of the dream world.
whoa! SHE’S AMAZING! i mean, i’ve been doing ballet since i was four and i never managed to stand like that! and that dress! if that’s what people wear in this dreamworld i definately in!
i´m so in.. totally
i love ballet to..
