Twins!

Two big cheers for my friend Sophia and her husband Christos of Greece on the birth of twin girls. She had them on July 25th and they each weighed about four and a half pounds.

I am still awaiting more details and photos, but just wanted to let you all know the wonderful news. Sophia doesn’t have a blog but used to leave a lot of comments here before she was put on strict bedrest.

Congratulations again to Sophia and Christos.

  1. I am so happy for her and Christos!

    Did you get their names?

And yes, it was chocolate & smokes.

Did she change her email address, the one I sent didn’t seem to work.

  2. Her emails are probably bouncing because she hasn’t been able to check email while on bedrest.

She was rushing out the door when I talked to her so I didn’t get the names. One of them she was planning on naming after her father, a female version of his name. I can’t remember about the other.

I’m afraid to call there and wake the baby. I think she has one of them home already.

I’ll text her in the next day or so and see if I can purge some more info out of her. I told her I’d blog about it and she said that was okay so maybe she’ll come and see this post and give us some scoop.

  3. WOO HOO! Way to go Sophia, way to go masterful stork!!!

And if the lady wanted smokes and chocolate I say let’er have’em! After all the deprivation and bedrest the woman deserves an award of some kind to go with her new babies…

Perhaps not politically correct but then neither is Sophia really (smile).

    YEY!!!!

  4. I’m wondering what’s the first thing I’d do after 7 or 8 months of strict bedrest.

I’m thinking it would involve an airplane or something fast.

  5. Haha AJ, does that limp come with an episiotomy?

C-sections make you walk all hunchback. I was flicking through the channels earlier and caught one of those buncha ladies having babies shows. I never watch them, but this one was a bunch of Navy officers and i was just curious as to how different they would be than civilians. Whether they take the epidural or go commando.

They cry just like the rest of us but they bitch more at the docs.
I found myself tearing up as each one of these little angels were born.

Sophia better send me a baby picture soon.
